Gift dropping cars in Forza Horizon 6 is pretty much what it states on the label. You take a car from your garage, and leave it for someone else to claim. The game does restrict which cars you can gift, and you can't choose who receives it.
However, you can leave some specifications, like designating a gift for new players only. The feature unlocks early, though Forza Horizon 6 presents it with no fanfare or tutorials to help you use it. Gifting cars unlocks after you nab your first barn find.
When you drive near an empty barn from then on, you'll see a major prompt on screen that reads"Gift Drop,"And Mei and Jordan tell you how nice it would be to fill that empty barn up with something nice for someone else. Despite the language they use, your gift car will not replace that barn's car for other players who haven't found it yet. And you don't even have to drive to a barn to do it, though you can if you want to.
Under the "Cars" Section of the main menu, you'll find a"Gift drop"Option on the bottom right. However you decide to do it, bear in mind gift drop will permanently remove it from your inventory, so think carefully before being too generous. Forza Horizon 6 picks a recipient at random based on the criteria you chose.
They'll receive a notification to pick up their gift, and you'll get a notification when they do. Likewise, if you ever have Jordan pop up and mention gifts and barns, make sure to stop by a barn. There's a gift waiting for you.
