Comedian and broadcaster MCA Tricky (Francis Munyao) has officially unveiled his departure from Mediamax Network’s Milele FM after six years on air, following an unresolvable dispute with station management over study leave. In an official statement dropped on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, the beloved presenter disclosed that his exit stemmed from the station’s refusal to grant him a short, unpaid study leave to pursue his higher education goals. “Today, I officially close one of the most important chapters of my life.
After six unforgettable years, I have officially left Mediamax Network Ltd’s Milele FM, where I proudly served from June 2020 to June 2026,”MCA Tricky stated. “My departure comes after we were unable to reach a mutual agreement regarding my request for a short unpaid study leave as I continue pursuing my academic goals.” MCA Tricky, who first rose to fame as a stand-up comedian on the Churchill Show, transitioned into radio in October 2018 at Radio Maisha alongside Billy Miya.
He later moved to Milele FM in June 2020 to replace Jalang’o on the morning show, hosting alongside Alex Mwakideu and Chris The Bass to build one of the nation’s most-watched breakfast lineups.
