Televangelist Pastor Ezekiel Odero of New Life Prayer Centre and Church has issued a public apology to musician Kevin Bahati following viral allegations linking the singer to an organ-selling syndicate. Speaking during a recent church sermon, Pastor Ezekiel clarified that neither he nor his official church branches originated the accusations, which initially surfaced when a young congregant made the asserts during a live service. Despite denying direct responsibility, the cleric stated he was offering the apology on behalf of the ministry to make amends and preserve peaceful relations.
“Bahati, on behalf of New Life, I ask for your forgiveness—even though I am not the one who said it, nor was it done by a New Life branch,”Pastor Ezekiel stated. “As a servant of God, I would not want New Life to wrong you in any way… Wrongs should not be ignored because you might need that person tomorrow.” Pastor Ezekiel also called on independent breakaway churches to register distinct ministry names to prevent their statements from being misattributed to New Life Church during future controversies.
Bahati, who had previously threatened legal action over the defamatory asserts, has not yet issued a public response to the apology.
