She has one year of experience in print and more than five years in digital media. A vehicle associated with Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna's Linda Mwananchi convoy overturned on the Sibanga-Kitale Highway in Trans Nzoia county on Saturday, July 25, 2025. The incident occurred during a rally ahead of Sifuna's homecoming event, which is scheduled for Sunday, July 26, at his Siaka home in Bungoma county.

The homecoming was organised following Sifuna's rise to national prominence through his involvement in the Linda Mwananchi brigade and after a series of rallies across the country. Footage of the aftermath circulated widely on social media, showing a Prado J150 vehicle that had come off the road. The clip was filmed along a rural stretch of highway lined with utility poles and open fields, capturing the tense atmosphere that followed the crash.

In the footage, the vehicle, with several supporters hanging on it, swerved off the road before returning to the main road where it crashed and rolled several times. Among those who were reportedly in the car were Bungoma senatorial aspirant Evans Kakai and members of his team. The wrecked car was later cleared from the crash scene as other vehicles continued with the journey, which attracted thousands of supporters.

The accident drew sharp criticism from who condemned the practice of supporters riding on the outside of moving vehicles during political processions. Edwin Sifuna claims paybill number has been closed: "Orders from above" One Kenyan issued a direct warning in response to the incident: "Pole sana Linda Mwananchi politicians and political supporters who were involved in an accident with this Prado J150 earlier today after their rally in western Kenya. Political consultants stop hanging on to moving vehicles.

You're putting your own life at risk and endangering the lives of other motorists and pedestrians. No ride is worth risking a life." Many others who commented online wished the injured parties a swift recovery and called for a change of driver to prevent similar incidents from occurring in future.
